Matt Wilber, Chief Financial Officer, has been in the restaurant industry for over twenty years. In 1989 he joined Deloitte and quickly found his passion for the restaurant industry. During his tenure at Deloitte, Matt became a restaurant specialist and was ultimately responsible for all of the San Antonio restaurant clients.
These clients included Taco Cabana, Billy Blues, Marco’s Mexican Restaurants, Red Line Burgers, Labatt Food Service, and several franchised and owner operated concepts.
In 1995, drawn by a desire to have more hands-on experience and to be part of a pioneer in the fast casual niche, Matt joined Souper Salad. During his tenure the Company more than tripled in size and became one the largest Soup and Salad chains in America with over 140 units. Matt held several positions at Souper Salad with his last position being the CFO.
In 2005 Matt became the CFO of Goode Partners, LLC, a private equity firm that focuses on the retail and restaurant industries. Matt helped Goode Partners through its start up phase until the firm completed raising its first fund of over $200M. During this time the firm acquired Chuy’s Mexican Food and Rosa Mexicano Restaurants.
In October 2007 Matt accepted the CFO position with Flat Out Crazy. Flat Out Crazy operates restaurants that offer high quality Asian cuisine in the fast casual and full service segments. While with Flat Out Crazy the company grew from nine units to thirty seven units.
Matt joined Barcelona in August 2012.
